Fathih institute for Higher Education (FIHE) was established on 22 May 2011 and is one of the leading private educational institutes in Sri Lanka. The Institute is strategically located at Junaid Mawatha, Thihariya, Sri Lanka to become the Centre of Educational Excellence and Human Development. It aims to nurture and bring forth a knowledgeable and prudent generation with value based education, excellent leadership qualities and communication skills.
From its humble beginnings in a beautiful Masjid Ibrahimiyya (Masjid in Thihariya) Fathih, which started with only preparatory programs, Arabic, English languages and arts stream in A/L, has now grown into a highly organized, nationally recognized, regionally known Islamic institute, with one faculty and two centres that provide value based education.
Fathih, in its age of ten years, is striving to be a best in teaching, learning and research. It is still a developing institute striving to improve many areas. There are many challenges and obstacles in its road ahead. Even though we hope that the institute will continue to develop with the grace of almighty with dedicated services of staff, board of directors and its well-wishers. We hope to achieve our goal of becoming a leading centre of educational excellence and human development in the region in the near future. I, as the director, I try my best to provide the necessary leadership and guidance, to work hard and extend my fullest cooperation to achieve the goals and the objectives in line with the vision and noble mission of Fathih.
Through our students, staff and graduates we’re working towards a more sustainable and equitable future for all. Now, more than ever, it’s our responsibility to continue to use our knowledge and ability for the betterment of country and society.
Better future with Fathih
Fathih has now only faculty known faculty of Islamic Studies. It has a department; department of Islamic jurisprudence and its principles. Currently more than 100 students, from different parts of the island are studying in the department of Islamic jurisprudence and its principles.
Fathih Institute was established on 22 May 2011 and founded upon Islamic principles and values. Fathih is a private institution, located in Thihariya(300m from Colombo-Kandy main road).
